Torremolinos is the closest destination to Málaga station, and even so many customers arriving on the AVE prefer the car to the local train: with luggage, with children, at night or simply because they want to reach the hotel and end the journey. It is 14 km on the MA-20 and the A-7, about 20 minutes with no tolls, to the hotel door in La Carihuela, Bajondillo, Playamar or the centre.
The price is fixed and small: 55€ for the saloon up to 4 passengers, 62€ for the estate and 73€ for the 8-seater minivan, VAT and luggage included. You pay the driver on arrival, cash or card. The driver tracks your train and waits free of charge if it is late.
For the trip back we collect you at the hotel in time for the AVE; from Torremolinos leaving 45 minutes before the train is enough in normal conditions.
