From María Zambrano to Nerja: 85€, 60 km east with no tolls
No train reaches Nerja, and the bus from Málaga takes over an hour and stops at the bus station at the top of the town. People arriving on the AVE for a few days in Nerja, Burriana or Capistrano usually book the car before boarding: 60 km on the MA-20 and the A-7 motorway heading east, about 55 minutes with no tolls, to the door of the hotel or apartment.
The price is fixed: 85€ for the saloon up to 4 passengers, 98€ for the estate with a large boot and 116€ for the 8-seater minivan, VAT and luggage included. There are no tolls on this route. You pay the driver on arrival, cash or card, and if the train is late the driver waits free of charge.
The return to the station costs the same: we collect you in Nerja, Maro or Frigiliana at the agreed time and drop you on the Explanada de la Estación with time for the AVE; in summer we leave an hour and a half ahead.
